【会议】“海洋法中的女性”会议

2022年12月10日,国际社会将庆祝《联合国海洋法公约》(以下简称《公约》)通过40周年。这为盘点《公约》对海洋和平与秩序、海洋空间与资源的可持续发展所做的众多贡献提供了适时的良机。此外,这也是庆祝《公约》和相关文书中反映的女性对海洋法逐步发展做出特殊贡献的重要时刻。
国际海底管理局与新加坡常驻联合国代表合作组织了“海洋法中的女性”(WILOS)会议。本次会议将聚焦女性对海洋法的重要贡献、女性在《公约》和相关区域、次区域组织所设机构的参与情况,以及提高女性未来在海洋法贡献潜力的路径。最值得注意的是,本次会议提供机会听取来自发展中国家、特别是最不发达国家、内陆发展中国家和小岛屿发展中国家中女性的声音。
本次会议将由国际海洋法法庭法官María Teresa Infante Caffi和海洋经济法研究所科学委员会(INDEMER)前主席、联合国海洋事务和海洋法司前司长Annick de Marffy共同主持。
