The Summer Program in Chinese Law provides an overview of the Chinese legal system with a focus on Chinese civil and commercial law. The 2014 program offers the following courses (subject to change based on availability):

The program will be held in Shanghai Jiao Tong University Xuhui Campus, located in downtown Xujiahui commercial center. In addition to classroom instruction and discussions, participants will visit a number of legal institutions in Shanghai, including people's court, CIETAC-Shanghai or Shanghai Arbitration Commission, Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) and the Shanghai offices of foreign and Chinese law firms. The program also include sightseeing trips to major cultural attractions in and around Shanghai, such as the Xitang Historic Town and the Oriental Pearl Tower. Please note that the courses and field trips are subject to determination and adjustment by KoGuan Law School.
Fee
The total amount of the program fee for the two-week Summer Program in Chinese Law is RMB 12,000, which covers tuition, room, breakfast, tours, opening reception and closing banquet.
Applicants who apply before February 1 will get 15% program fee discount and students from KoGuan partner schools will get fee discount according to the agreements between the two schools.
Application
For the summer programs in 2015, the deadline of 1st Session is March 10; the deadline of 2nd Session is March 25; the deadline of July Session is May 1. Applications must be received on or before this date.To apply to the 2015 summer programs, applicants must complete the following application materials:
1. Application Form; (word)
2. One letter of recommendation;
3. One copy of English fluency certificate (for non-native speakers);
4. Resume;
5. One legible photocopy of the first page of your passport;
6. Emergency contact numbers;
7. A non-refundable application fee of RMB¥400
Payment
The application fee is nonrefundable and will not be credited to the summer program fees in the event of acceptance. The application fee shall be made by wireless transfer to:
