科研领域:

讲授刑法(总论、分论)、外国刑法和医疗卫生法的课程。自2018年开始着力于互联网刑法的研究。作为项目主持人承担国家社科研究项目“先端医疗技术对刑法的挑战及其对策”(2017年10月至今)。其承担的教育部课题、上海哲社课题和法学会课题已经申请结项。个人专著两本,由成文堂出版社和元照出版社出版;个人日译中的译著一本,由中国政法大学出版社出版;论文分别以中文、英文、日文和西班牙语发表。

语言能力:

中文为母语;熟练使用英文和日文;德文也是工作语言之一。

 Curriculum Vitae (updated September 2018)

Dr Jiajia YU was born in Shandong and now is Associate Professor at KoGuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China.

Education:

In July 2006 she obtained both LL.B and B.A. in English literature at Shandong University in China, and passed the National Judicial Examination.

Then she entered the master program at the Law School of Peking University in China through recommendation instead of the regular national admission exam, and in July 2008 obtained her first Master Degree there with the thesis “论盗窃罪的边界(The Boundary Issues in the Theft)”. Her master thesis supervisor is professor Shizhou Wang.

Since October 2007, with the full scholarship she enrolled at the Graduate Schools for Law and Politics of the University of Tokyo in Japan. There she obtained her second Master Degree in March 2010 and then her doctorate in law in July 2013 with the dissertation “医療過誤の処罰とその制限(The Criminalization of Medical Negligence and its Limitations)”(magna cum laude). During this period her supervisor is professor Hitoshi Saeki.

Professional Career

After the long-term staying in Japan, she came back to China and up to now is teaching at KoGuan Law School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China(Lecturer from March in 2014 to November in 2017; Associate Professor from December in 2017). She has lessons of criminal law (general part and particular part), foreign criminal law and medical law. Now her legal studies also focus on cybercrime.

She is directing a national level project on “The Challenges to Criminal Law Made by New Medical Technology” sponsored by the National Social Science Fund of China (since October 2017). As a team leader she finished other projects sponsored by China’s Ministry of Education or Shanghai Government. She is the author of two books, one published in Japan and the other published in Taiwan, China. She has also translated the Japanese book “刑法総論の考え方楽しみ方(Thinking and Enjoying Criminal Law)” by Professor Hitoshi Saeki into Chinese. Her papers have been published in Chinese, Japanese, English and Spanish.

Other Professional Activities:

Now she is invited researcher at the Institute of the Policy and Social Safety of Waseda University in Japan(since October in 2017); collaborator on comparative Law Research of Revista Penal in Spain(since summer in 2015) ; and editor of 月旦医事法报告(Taiwan Health Law Magazine) in Taiwan, China(since December in 2017).

She is an ex-fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (April in 2012-March in 2014). She was a visiting scholar at the Law School of the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, the United States (summer in 2015/ China Scholarship Council grant), and at Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg, i.Br., Germany (summer in 2010 and in 2017/Max Planck Society grant). She also worked as the editor for Peking University Law Review in China (October in 2006- July in 2008)

Language Proficiency:

Her mother tongue is Chinese. She is a proficient user of English and Japanese. She can also use German in academic work.
